The Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department Gifted New Rescue Truck

Signal Mountain, Tennessee — On Tuesday, November 15, the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department will unveil their new medical response vehicle to the public. This new customized Ford F-350 comes as a generous gift from an anonymous resident and will replace the department’s current 2006 vehicle.

Over 85% of the department’s calls are medical related, so having a safe, reliable, and well-equipped vehicle is essential to serving the Lone Oak community. The media is invited to attend the unveiling and talk with members beginning at 7:30 pm ET.

“This is not only a great event for the members, but also the Lone Oak community,” states Chief Dana Clift. “We are so very thankful for this extremely kind gesture and greatly appreciate our community.”

The Importance of a Medical Response Vehicle

A medical response vehicle is crucial for any fire department, but especially for one like Lone Oak whose over 85% of calls are medical related. Having a safe, reliable, and well-equipped vehicle is essential to serving the community.

The old Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department rescue truck was functional, but it was showing its age. With nearly 20 years of wear and tear, it was time for an upgrade. That’s why the department is so grateful for the generous gift of a new, customized Ford F-350 Rescue truck. This new truck will serve as our medical response vehicle and replace our current 2006 vehicle. It’s equipped with everything we need to serve our Lone Oak community.
